Refund and Cancellation policy Fall 2020


TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Filling out the online form does NOT confirm a student’s registration. Registration is confirmed once you have received an email from Liana Wiener, Academy Director confirming your child’s registration. Confirmation of the application will be confirmed via email within 2-3 business days of receipt. You will then be contacted to pay for the entire session.
  • All courses have a minimum and maximum enrollment. Should a course not meet the minimum enrollment, the Segal Centre reserves the right to cancel the course. In case of a cancellation due to not meeting minimum enrollment, a full reimbursement will be issued.
  • If a student must cancel due to medical reasons, a physician’s note must be provided and a pro-rated credit of equal value towards a future course at the Segal Academy will be applied.
  • The Segal Academy reserves the right to change instructors without prior notice.
  • The Segal Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate conduct. Any student showing a lack of respect for staff and property, as well as fellow students or instructors, will be dismissed from the course permanently with no refund.
  • Participants are expected to be on time. For in-person classes, if a student arrives prior to 4:30pm, parents are aware that their child will be unsupervised. The Segal Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

 

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY FOR IN-PERSON COURSES

  • Cancellation in writing three weeks prior to the first class – full refund
  • Cancellation in writing two weeks prior to the first class – refund minus $50 processing fee 
  • Cancellation in writing after the 1st class – Refund minus $100 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation after 2nd class – Refund minus $150 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation after 3rd class or more – no refund.
  • In the event of another closure, classes will resume virtually. If your child does not wish to continue virtually, a pro-rated credit of equal value towards a future course at the Segal Academy will be applied. 
  • Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal. No refund will be issued for missed classes.
  • New information regarding a lost or stolen credit card, a replacement card, insufficient funds, or an expiry date change should be provided to us.

  • Cancellation in writing three weeks prior to the first class – full refund
  • Cancellation in writing two weeks prior to the first class – refund minus $50 processing fee 
  • Cancellation in writing after the 1st class – Refund minus $75 cancellation fee
  • Cancellation after 2nd class – Refund minus $100 cancellation fee 
  • Cancellation after 3rd class or more – no refund.

GST and QST is not included in the price and do not apply to children aged 14 and under as of the first class. GST / QST will be added to the session fees (in-person and virtual) for children aged 15 and over as of the first class.
