Update: As per the government's December 20, 2021 announcement, the Segal Centre will be closed until further notice. We thank all of you for your understanding and support at this time. We also ask for your patience as we work out plans for our programming in January. All ticket buyers will be contacted once we have more information. In the meantime, we wish you all a healthy and happy holiday season.

The health and safety of everyone is our top priority. The following measures are in place for all individuals arriving on our premises:

  • On-duty “COVID Officer” at all times ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed
  • VACCINE PASSPORT REQUIREMENT: As of September 1st, per government public health regulations, patrons 13 years old and up attending Segal Centre activities will be required prove adequate protection against the COVID-19 virus and provide photo ID to enter onto the premises. If your vaccine passport is declined (shows inadequate protection), or you do not have another approved proof of vaccination, the Segal Centre is required to refuse your entry. Should this be the case, you will be offered a refund. Refunds will be honoured until November 14, 2021 to allow for a grace period while we all learn how this new safety practice works.
  • If you are a non-Quebec resident, you may present vaccination proof from your home province/state and photo ID proving non-Quebec residency as proof of adequate protection.
  • Procedural masks must be worn by everyone at all times while in the building, even when in your assigned seat, for the duration of the performance. Upon arrival, a member of the Front of House staff will provide patrons with a new surgical-grade disposable mask.
  • Contact tracing based on ticket scans or pre-sale lists. However, if you are showing any unaccounted for COVID symptoms, or if you cannot pass a brief verbal questionnaire, you will not be allowed into the Segal Centre.
  • Social distancing enforced at all times while circulating in the building
  • Hand sanitizing stations throughout the Segal Centre
  • Increased cleaning, disinfection, and sanitizing of all public areas
  • Staggered entrances and exits of patrons
  • During the performance, patrons are asked to remain in their seats and remain seated when the performance ends. Front of House personnel will dismiss patrons by row and section to ensure distancing and clear passage to directly exit the facility.
  • The air circulation system has been optimized.
  • The Segal Bar will be closed and the water fountains are shut off, patrons are kindly asked to bring their own water bottle.
  • Pre- and post-show socializing will be restricted as we are limiting the amount of time spent on-site in common areas like the Lobby. We encourage you to share your thoughts about the play online on social media. You can follow us on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

Because news regarding COVID is constantly changing, the Segal Centre is following all updates and guidelines closely. As such, this list is constantly evolving and subject to change at any time.

We have the utmost care about the health and safety of our patrons and our teams, and are committed to making your visit to the theatre one you can do confidently and securely. If at any time, you no longer feel comfortable visiting, please contact our Box Office at 514-739-7944 to exchange, credit, or refund your ticket.
